HOOK-UP DRAWING AUTOMATION

MUR selects approved instrumentation hook-up typicals and populates them with controlled project data. The result is a repeatable engineering workflow for installation drawings that can be regenerated when relevant project facts change.

THE PROBLEM

Hook-up drawings depend on more than an instrument tag.

A valid hook-up can depend on instrument type, process connection, valve or manifold configuration, tubing size, materials, mounting method, instrument-air requirements, accessories and installation environment.

When these facts are maintained manually, the same typical may be copied repeatedly and then edited by hand. That makes later changes difficult to propagate consistently across the project.

One approved typical can serve many project instances.

The typical remains a controlled engineering asset. MUR does not create arbitrary installation geometry; it selects the correct approved template and fills only the project-specific information required for that instrument instance.

CHANGE-AWARE HOOK-UPS

When installation facts change, the affected hook-up becomes stale.

A change to valve type, process connection, instrument-air requirement, accessory configuration or installation rule can invalidate an existing hook-up. MUR can identify the affected drawing, select the appropriate typical again and regenerate the output under the new project revision.
